Ivy:

Once again, thank you! After reading a few other posts, I realized that you have asthma. You know how I feel then. I was diagnosed with BOOP, but now they doc. thinks it is just BO (Bronchiolitis Obliterans). I am keeping both my Pulm. and my DO in the loop. Although, my Pulm. does not know about me stopping the Imuran. So you think the 6-mp really helps your breathing? I was feeling as if the Imuran was doing nothing for me, but the last 2 days have been awful. I am considering going back on the Imuran with my dinner tonight and just work on getting off the steriods. The whole idea of the Imuran was to spare me from the steriods. My DO is a unique guy. He is very into trying things and then going back to square one if they don't work. He won't be upset that I went back on the Imuran. I think my body can only handle one thing at a time. I know Imuran has a lot of side effects, but I am not sure that it is giving me the nausea. Do you think being off of it for 2 days I would know if it caused nausea or not. I have been more nauseated off of it than on it. I am a mess. I just want to feel half way decent, put on some weight and muscle and see how I can function. If those things don't help, then we are probably headed toward lung transplant. It scared me, but I would rather live 10 or so good, happy years than 30 miserable sick years. Of course none of us know God's plan for us, but we have to make the best decisions we know how. Thanks agian. You have really helped me. I be praying that your asthma stays under control. I know what it's like not to be able to breathe and it is no fun.

Karen
