Susan,

I only drink diet sodas, usually diet 7-up which has splenda...I avoid aspartine when I can. As for the protiens, I do eat plenty of lean protiens such as boneless/skinless chicken breasts, ground WHITE meat turkey breast, lean ham, eggs, and white/flaky fish (usually sole). If I ate only those foods I would be a sick little girl, as they are harder to digest then carbs...like I said, my diet is the anti-diet LOL. I have my blood work checked every other month for CBC/Comperhensive Metabolic Profile/am cortisol/and tests for malnutrition as they were WAY off before I started on this diet, and almost all in the normal range now. The only one that is still off is the ALP which shows small bowel absorption...it's MUCH better then it was, though.

I do not have diabetes...my slow gastric motility is caused by my autonomic dysfunction which is caused by my autoimmune disease. You are right though, NORMALLY it is caused by neurapathy from too much insulin production. I went all over the US to find all this out LOL...I am one for the case studies :-D My pulmonologist is going to write me up in a journal :-D I am actually proud of that LOL...Call me Ms. Outside The Box :-D

I am enjoying the mid-70's for the rest of today before it goes back into the 80's here in Sunny South Florida LOL
