Isn't there a TON of sugar in those drinks? Sugar increases insulin secretion, and insulin suppresses adrenal output. I take it with no sugar, just plain water. Certain foods are very high in potassium and magnesium, the foods folks on steroids are supposed to eat, from the medical references I've read; animal proteins. The med reference I found very useful says anyone on glucocorticiod therapy must eat a high protein diet. Meat and fish have a lot of those minerals.

I have a stomach condition

If those are the only carbs you can eat, I would suggest that you stick to only protein, because they're making you much sicker by stressing your poor adrenals and inhibiting steroidogenesis. They promote diabetes; slow gastric emptying is a sign of very advanced diabetes.

Thanks, Ivy. It's sunny out and not freezing here on Lawn Guyland, so can't complain! :-)
