Pressing himself as close as possible to the elder's body, like a mountain lion on the back of a bull, he endured the sharp claws in his arms, ripping madly at the neck and throat, predator's instinct directing his attack, even if the chances of disabling an elder were likely far beyond possibility. Pouring all the frusteration of the last five months into furious fangs and bearing his full weight down on the hated elder, he locked onto Marius with a bulldog tenacity, ready to ride this battle out to the end.
