I got my upper braces put in on Monday. My cousin, who has worked many years as a nurse, told me that I could take up to 800mg of ibuprofen every six hours for pain. I took them every chance i got, so I wouldn't be uncomfortable, and it really helped. I use a Soniccare electric toothbrush, and just barely hold it on the brackets......it can still do the work but doesn't hurt. The moving of the bristles actually help my teeth feel better. I hope you start feeling better soon.
