What can and can't be eaten will differ from person to person. There are people here who have eaten everything under the sun with no problems caused by braces. Others haven't been so lucky.

At first, you will probably be limited in what you can eat. As time goes on, you will become more and more comfortable "pushing" your limits. Beware that it may be months before you are able to bite into something with your front teeth. Be patient and whatever you eat, just be careful, go slowly, and if you feel like something might break or come loose, stop eating that particular item.
