Subject: I Just Got Lingual Braces...

 This website is a godsend. I am in my mid-30's and yesterday I had lingual braces applied to my top teeth. It has been a very upsetting 24 hours.
First of all, I cannot speak correctly. I don't know if this goes away or not, over time. Is there ANYONE on here that can offer advice about how to speak more normally? I have a terrible lisp and am dreading going to work Monday.
My other problem is eating. I cannot bite down on my back teeth anymore due to the braces being on, so eating has become a total challenge. Yesterday all I ate was some soup. I really need some advice.
