Hey all,
Lately i have just begin to wonder how many people this happens to. I get canker sores very frequently. And its not jsut because of my braces, i have been getting them since i was 6. After getting 6 of them on my bottom lip at one time my parents decided to look into my diet to find out what was causing them so much. Chocolate. Imagine telling a 6 or 7 year old that chocolate is giving her these sores and to stop them from happening so bad she had to eat chocolate in VERY small amounts. It was hard. After i cut down on the chocolate i would get a few every few months. Then when i reached about 10 or 11 i was getting them just about every month and i VERY rarely eat chocolate. Now that i have gotten braces things have only gotten worse. i havent been canker sore free basically since i got my braces on 6 months ago. I usually get them in groups of 3's. Im 16 and dont know anyone else who has such a problem like this one with these sores. Im not here to get sympathy or to complain, im just wondering if anyone else can shed some insight into some possible other causes or if they have this problem.
I have prescription and otc products to help ease the pain but most are a pretty quick fix and dont do much for me.
any information would be appreciated
