I'm currently in nursing school. I've been told I need braces to correct a really deep bite (by a dentist and two different orthodontists) and that invisalign will not work for me. One ortho told me that ceramics would work while another really thought I should go with regular metal braces. I'm a self-concious person by nature and am really worried about what this will do to my self esteem and the appearance of my facial structure as my teeth change. They don't look crooked at all and no one understands why I need braces in the first place. Does anyone have any stories they could share? Is it as bad as you thought it might be having braces?
