Subject: What a ridiculous comparison

To be compared to an evil examinator, described in 'Archipelago Gulag' is a bit too much. What are you talking about? I’ve always been clear and straightforward: I don’t believe you married BF. With that simple fact in mind my behaviour is explainable and not rude at all. You’d better ask yourself why you keep up with my disbelief for so many years.

About Todd: He thinks you a very valuable asset to his forum. The truth is not important to him. He thinks that somebody like you gives his forum prestige and consequently gives him prestige. He always defended you for 100%, much to my irritation and he only spoke of you with the highest regards.

About the 10 mails per day Todd and I exchanged, that’s not true. I wonder why Todd is telling such a lie.

Often I wonder what will happen when I believe you did marry BF (or when I’m convinced that you did not). My prediction is that our conversation will die out very rapidly.

I got up this morning and suddenly had this idea, let’s go to the chess shop at the Haarlemmerdijk and buy the Russians versus Fischer book. I took my bike; it is freezing cold, cycled along the canals and entered the chess shop. The first book I grabbed was “Russians versus Fischer”! I already read a large part of it. First impression: interesting and well balanced. First surprise: Fischer is very positive about Petrosian and vice versa. When you read between the lines you notice that Petrosian criticises the Soviet press.

I also bought Russian Silhouettes from Genna Sosonko. I have a lot to read this weekend!
