Great flick, although I thought it could've done with just a touch of the fantastical. For instance, I don't believe Batman should ever fraternize with anybody, but in a few examples he was too close to people when talking with them - i.e. showing up at Gordon's house, his first encounter with Katie Holmes, talking with Gordon at the end, etc.

Also, I thought there were instances where action should've taken place on a higher plain, i.e. his first encounter with Scarecrow, visiting Gordon at his house, etc. Gordon could've lived in an apartment on a 20th floor, and the Scarecrow encounter could've occurred somewhere higher. I don't know why . . . I just think Batman should be a creature of heights.

I'm not sure if they're be able to gratify Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine in a sequel; I mean, their characters had a lot to do in this one, but they'll be in cruise control from hereon. Especially Morgan Freeman. It seems to me he'll become to Batman what Q was to James Bond.

I thought Katie Holmes was good for what she had to do, as I expected her to be terrible after reading your reviews; and was it my imagination, but was John Hurt uncredited as the only other speaking member (apart from Rutger Hauer) of the Wayne Enterprises Board? If so, will he become the next villain?

One thing I didn't realize was that Batman Begins would completely ignore the four other movies. I thought the story would work around what'd already been established.

Finally, I still think Katie Holmes's character should've died to steel the resolve Bruce Wayne had taken as Batman.
