The proliferation of Star Wars-based advertisements is extremely disconcerting. The movie is PG-13 and Lucas himself has come out and said "leave the kids home". Spielberg saw it and said he wasn't going to take his kids. It's dark, it's gloomy, main characters WILL die and it doesn't end on a happy moment. So that sounds like a perfect opportunity to sell fast-food tie-in toys for the movie to little kids. Kids, don't come to the theater to see the movie (yeah, THAT will stop 'em!) just buy every single piece of merchandise emblazoned with the Star Wars logo. Lucas is a whore.

I didn't like Hayden Christensen either.

I'm still going to see the new one. I'm not sure if I will see it opening night, but it will definitely be this weekend. There's just a part of me that needs the closure. From 1977-1984 my life was Star Wars. In 1983, I paid to see ROTJ in the theater 7 times. I suck.
