I agree that some of the covenants are obselete, but my concern is that we will go the "all or nothing" route, choosing the latter and I can tell you that is opening us up for much worse problems. I moved here from the Antioch commnity years ago and the reason we chose Willoughby was the fact that they had covenants and were supposedly enforced. We came from one of the nicer areas in Antioch and even it had become unbearable by the time we moved. Largely, because there were no restrictions on homeowners and believe me, with no restrictions, ANYTHING goes!! I pray we don't get to that point because our property values will absolutely plummet. With the economy like it is now, we can not afford to let this happen. I know some of the things you pointed out are ridiculous, but where do we draw the line. I knew when we moved in here there were rules, if I did not like them, I could have chosen another subdivision. We have got to keep our covenants and restrictions to some degree. It seems to me like we have a lot of new people that just want to change things their way. Our neighborhood has a very nice reputation - that did not happen accidentally!!!
