OMG! So because in the process of snotty, rude, catty things that we (collective we) have said to each other in the past, you've chosen NOW to stir up the "hick" stuff based on things I've said to you in the past? That's sort of bizarre. Are you really that bored? Good thing to see Hope paying such close attention, again (LOL)...she's providing you with such loving support, despite the fact that I haven't said a rude word to you since the last go-around. God, you wonder why I call you all hens? You just can't seem to go for more than a few weeks without getting antsy, and needing to stir up the shit again. Unreal.

Yes, my ex hubby's family were hicks. He'd have been the first to admit it. His aunts and uncles, most of them, were grubby, rarely did laundry (not cuz they couldn't, they just didn't take any pride in themselves), I doubt some of them would shower once a week, they had no manners, they spit their food out while eating, they wiped their runny noses with their shirt sleeves, they cursed out loud in any public place regardless of whether there were children or women or elderly folks around, they drove without valid drivers licenses and insurance (some of them), they'd wear their muddy wet footwear into our home without thinking to remove them first, the men would constantly hork up big gobby spitwads on the ground at random, hopefully missing you're feet if you were standing close-by, 2 of his uncles scratched their balls in full view without being discreet about it, I don't think half of them brushed their teeth, ever....most of them drank most of the weekends, leaving the little kids to pretty much fend for themselves (good parenting!), their dogs' fur was so matted and filthy from never being groomed (we used to always take bags of dogfood out to their farm, cuz we weren't sure they cared enough to feed them)........Yeah, they were hillbillies. Was it cuz they were poor? Hardly. Was it cuz they were uneducated? No. I know plenty of people who don't more than grade 12 (including my own father) and they are anything but backwards and hickish.

You are simply on a mission to make me out to look bad. Whatever grinds your beans, I guess. I see you and the hens just scouring my odd post on Wassssup, then gossiping about it behind the scenes, just looking for something to pick apart. If you all can't stand me and think I'm a bitch, why don't you all just leave me alone? LOL

I've not said a snide word or insinuation to you, or Pam, or the lot of you, since the last go-around. Not once. Why can't you all just get a grip and focus on something else? It's so bizarre.

No really, I do understand what you are saying about your ex in-laws. I guess that would fall in what my idea of a hick is also. Everything you spoke of their bathing habits, manners or lack there of and not from lack of money or education.

I was just playing with ya last night on the Mantel, bored and just playing along with your game, no ill will meant. Just joshing ya! :-) I took it that was how you meant it to be also. Was I wrong?

Yes, I am talking about hick comments you have made in the past. You have made no bones about Pam being the hick and I was her dumb ass, poor, stupid and wishy washy tater sidekick that she took under her wing because she felt sorry for me.

Yes, I guess it is sort of bizarre and also from being bored out of my mind to try and figure out what makes you tick. Just something for me to do, I guess. I had the day off from work, had all my household chores done and nothing better to do. Kids are all grown, so no trick or treating for me to do, had to put the Oscar away, it fell off the mantel and almost broke my big toe. Dangerous damn award it is.

Regardless of how you think or how it might feel, my mission (as you put it) is NOT to make you look bad. Really! Hey, while we are at it, why do you have to pick Ari's post apart? Yeah, he does come from out in left field sometimes, but I think he really does have a good heart. Don't you think so? Just wondering.......

I was just joshin' with ya last night, too! If I was going to be mean, I would have been. That wasn't my intention. It was so obvious that you were trying to make me say that I was calling Pam a hick. I wasn't. She stuck her nose in about Ari, I made a silly but not horrid response in return...then she had to get in there with her hooks and make the 'ass' insinuation. In the spirit of a good cat fight, I responded...though I don't think I was being a total bitch. Geezus.

So what, I've made 'hick' comments in the past. Not excusing them, per se, but have you and Pam not made equally offensive comments to me? Have you forgotten? I'm not sitting here crying in my beer or anything, but I've been poked fun at for being on disability, for not having a husband, for not having kids, my house being a cheap old prefab box, being mocked for participating in Welcome Home with my painting questions (I've never had other people to discuss decorating with before, and although I apparently came off as bragging, I wasn't. I was scared shitless to start painting these walls because I've only ever had white walls before and I'd be the first to admit that I know very little about trendy colors and such).....

If you're going to bring up old shit out of the blue, should I also? So that we can start this crap all over again? It's insane, Kimmy....it really is. It's pretty much well passed the point of being funny any more....it's mostly just insane and we all look like a bunch of petty broads.

but if you're all going to dish it out, I might just give some back.

As for Ari, I really don't single him out. It appears that I do but it's only because in a particular thread, I happen to really understand and at least partially relate to the responses of others.....their responses are those of an adult, they're well thought out, they make the effort to make their point known.....whereas, Ari seems to get off being a twit. For instance, his post the other day asking which we prefer, rough hands or smooth. Course after everyone is laughing at him for such a seemingly stupid question, he THEN explains WHY he asked it (even Jo asked why he didn't just explain WHY he was asking to start with.....geezus, it would have hardly changed our responses.....). 98% of the time, I don't get what he's trying to say.......and when I seek clarification, it becomes some grade 2 word game.

There's more to the Ari-story than you and others here are likely aware of, and I won't go into the details here....but suffice it to say, he crossed a major line with me at the end of DP and I have never thought the same way about him since. It was really quite sickening and I lost all respect for him (and no, it wasn't JUST him using fake names in chat, impersonating me and Lynn and others). 'nuff said.

I totally agree with you, we all look like a bunch of petty, childish broads! No I have not forgotten my equally offensive remarks to you either. They are all shameful. I do understand what you are saying. Enough is enough. They are hurtful, spiteful comments meant to draw blood. I will be honest, at times they do hurt, even though I haven't ever met you in real life and probably never will. I don't know you from Adam. I do know and have grown very close to Pam and alot of others, as I'm sure you have. Does that mean that we aren't friends, whether we have met in real life or not? I say, that my online friends are just as important to me as the ones in real life. Some people don't see it that way, that is their right. I do care what happens to them and what goes on in their lives anyway. Don't you?

As for your posting about your painting your house, I was being honest when I said I liked the color, I do. I wasn't being wishy washy by commenting in that thread. I wasn't being some kind of liar, trying to get on your good side. Just make a comment as the others did. I know what you mean about being scared to try new things, I have felt that way too. I'm not wishy washy Lisa, not to my way of thinking, just somethings I get mad about, then blow off about and then move on. Some things it isn't that easy for me to get over. If that is what you call wishy washy (which I think everyone can be to a degree)then I guess I am.

Yeah, we could throw mud until we are blue in the face, but it won't change anything. Feelings have been hurt, some things said that it is totally up to the person that they have offended to get past or forgive. It is not for me to judge you on why you post to Ari the way you do, it was something I had wondered about and you answered my question. I just choose to blow right on by his posts when I don't understand them. There are alot of them from others I don't understand or don't interest me, that is the joy of the internet, read what you want to, find out about things you wanted to learn about and maybe, just maybe, make a few good friends.

I don't understand why Ari should be required to state his reasons for making a post. How was his question any different than asking if women prefer hairy chests or smooth chests (which was asked by someone else once), no one jumped on them and asked why in the hell they were asking THAT. Ari's question was a legitimate one, that no one would have blinked at if anyone else had posted it. In fact,there was a thread somewhere (might have been on DP) about what type of body parts turned people on, and the subject of rough vs smooth hands came up in it. But just because it was ARI this time, it was immediately fair game for the potshots.

As for the "Rough vs Smooth" thread of Ari's, why don't you go and take a good look. I didn't even RESPOND TO HIM IN THAT THREAD!!!..so I don't know what you're even talking about. I only gave that thread mention, in my response to kimmy, because I was giving her an example of WHY I am known to respond to his posts...because he asks vague/cryptic questions that he can't help but KNOW people will razz him about. Just as Jo did in THAT thread.
