It was so obvious that you were trying to make me say that I was calling Pam a hick. I wasn't. She stuck her nose in about Ari, I made a silly but not horrid response in return...then she had to get in there with her hooks and make the 'ass' insinuation. In the spirit of a good cat fight, I responded...though I don't think I was being a total bitch. Geezus. So what, I've made 'hick' comments in the past. Not excusing them, per se, but have you and Pam not made equally offensive comments to me? Have you forgotten? I'm not sitting here crying in my beer or anything, but I've been poked fun at for being on disability, for not having a husband, for not having kids, my house being a cheap old prefab box, being mocked for participating in Welcome Home with my painting questions (I've never had other people to discuss decorating with before, and although I apparently came off as bragging, I wasn't. I was scared shitless to start painting these walls because I've only ever had white walls before and I'd be the first to admit that I know very little about trendy colors and such)..... If you're going to bring up old shit out of the blue, should I also? So that we can start this crap all over again? It's insane, Kimmy....it really is. It's pretty much well passed the point of being funny any more....it's mostly just insane and we all look like a bunch of petty broads. but if you're all going to dish it out, I might just give some back. As for Ari, I really don't single him out. It appears that I do but it's only because in a particular thread, I happen to really understand and at least partially relate to the responses of others.....their responses are those of an adult, they're well thought out, they make the effort to make their point known.....whereas, Ari seems to get off being a twit. For instance, his post the other day asking which we prefer, rough hands or smooth. Course after everyone is laughing at him for such a seemingly stupid question, he THEN explains WHY he asked it (even Jo asked why he didn't just explain WHY he was asking to start with.....geezus, it would have hardly changed our responses.....). 98% of the time, I don't get what he's trying to say.......and when I seek clarification, it becomes some grade 2 word game. There's more to the Ari-story than you and others here are likely aware of, and I won't go into the details here....but suffice it to say, he crossed a major line with me at the end of DP and I have never thought the same way about him since. It was really quite sickening and I lost all respect for him (and no, it wasn't JUST him using fake names in chat, impersonating me and Lynn and others). 'nuff said. They are hurtful, spiteful comments meant to draw blood. I will be honest, at times they do hurt, even though I haven't ever met you in real life and probably never will. I don't know you from Adam. I do know and have grown very close to Pam and alot of others, as I'm sure you have. Does that mean that we aren't friends, whether we have met in real life or not? I say, that my online friends are just as important to me as the ones in real life. Some people don't see it that way, that is their right. I do care what happens to them and what goes on in their lives anyway. Don't you? As for your posting about your painting your house, I was being honest when I said I liked the color, I do. I wasn't being wishy washy by commenting in that thread. I wasn't being some kind of liar, trying to get on your good side. Just make a comment as the others did. I know what you mean about being scared to try new things, I have felt that way too. I'm not wishy washy Lisa, not to my way of thinking, just somethings I get mad about, then blow off about and then move on. Some things it isn't that easy for me to get over. If that is what you call wishy washy (which I think everyone can be to a degree)then I guess I am. Yeah, we could throw mud until we are blue in the face, but it won't change anything. Feelings have been hurt, some things said that it is totally up to the person that they have offended to get past or forgive. It is not for me to judge you on why you post to Ari the way you do, it was something I had wondered about and you answered my question. I just choose to blow right on by his posts when I don't understand them. There are alot of them from others I don't understand or don't interest me, that is the joy of the internet, read what you want to, find out about things you wanted to learn about and maybe, just maybe, make a few good friends.
