Slinking after Alex, an edge to his grace as he had long ago learned that Alex's displeasure could often mean a slap across his face, he frowned darkly at his lover's disgust, looking down on both males as Alex ran to the boy's side. What? What had he done wrong? Defended his lair, his lover, his lover's child! Strike first, ask questions later. And now Alex would turn on him with snarls and names, bringing a peeved growl from the vampire at the top of the steps. How to do you scold a creature whose duty and instinct it is to defend when accidents happen when he's let run on a loose leash? Somebody is going to get hurt that way. And not necessarily intentionally. Okay... so he had tossed the intruder down the stairs intentionally. Ha! Teach the bastard, kid or not, to come slamming around at unfamiliar doors! Growling lowly and shifting his weight as Alex carried the boy up the stairs, fire and temper still hot within, he made no move to come as instructed though he likewise made no move to avoid Alex and his broken cargo. Christophen's son, eh? Hmmm... This might come back to bite him soon enough. And it was unfortunate the kid was handicapped. But the vampire wasn't to blame for some irresponsible parent letting a mental case wander alone into a dangerous territory! Let Christophen hear that! Smouldering, he looked down on the damaged youth in Alex's arms with a murmur meant for Alex, eyes obviously debating whether or not he should care that the boy had come to this by his own cold hands.
