Hi Reg. That sounds like a good price but as Jim asks, what cut is it? I'll be picking up brisket in Guelph on Wed. Last time I bought (about a month ago) I paid $1.75 for packer cuts averaging 10 lb each and $2.20 for CAB peeled points. Both prices are for box quantities. The points have just enough fat to cook but I use Qfan's butter baste just to make sure they don't dry out. The packer cuts take longer to cook, 10 hours plus in my offset; the points are nicely done in about 6 - 7 hours.
Good luck, brisket on the Q is about as good eating as you can get. Keep us posted.
