Essentially -- I was able to negotiate the ability for the department to design a leadership model that would suit us best, but the non-negotiable was Terry remaining in the position as program director.

President told me not to sign because he was going to look into contract issues. This has continued into the middle/end of the week and with managing vacations has become a longer process than I might wish on my own. The good news about the long process, however, is that at least it prevents anyone from doing anything too rash. Not real sure where it will all end up at the moment but I'm starting to put feelers out this next week.

I had hoped to get myself squared away over the summer to begin some billing on my own by the end of the summer. It's a little difficult because most of my clientelle has Medicare as their payor source and so in order to continue to offer pro bono services I need to structure myself as a limited liability corporation essentially with 2 different billing entities - one for medicare and one for everyone else. Awkward but not impossible.

I'll keep you posted
