Subject: Let's talk about dying

I'm facing the death of my parents in the pretty near future (they're 90, in a anursing home, and rather sickly).

Visiting the place and seeing/hearing/smelling the impending death of all those folks...it brings up my own fears of mortality pretty strongly, and sometimes it's hard to stay open and empathetic when an old woman strapped to a wheelchair is rolled past, her eyes all vacant and blank, drooling, and crying "help me, help me..." The nurses say she is senile and has no idea what she says or what is going on....but isn't her cry what we are all crying on some level?

SO I ask you, those of you who have made it into your second birth. Does the fear of death diminish? Do you know yourSelf to be eternal...has your perspective changed? DO you know more about what will happen when you leave your body? Does any of this matter once you are aware of your Divinity?

I am, in some ways, speaking from a place of fear...but I am also genuinely curious as to how the movement into second birth and beyond changes one's perspective on all this.

ANyone want to talk about this?
