The political correctness brigade are at it again. It seems anything that even hints of Christ is being targeted. It really does seem our nation is suffering from a clear case of 'Christophobia'.

The Eden Project tourist attraction in Cornwall has banned the word "Christmas" from being said by staff and visitors alike a newspaper reported.

The management there have decided to re-name the season "Time of gifts" and do away with the word Christmas in case it offends people of other religions.

The thing is, it is not people in other religions who are offended. In fact, most people in the Muslim communities and others cringe with ebarassment when they hear such things. Who then is responsibel? Good question. It is the political correctness brigade, local councils, etc.

The newspaper article also reported that it was ironic that the "Eden Project" gets it's name from the Bible! It also reports that although the management of the Eden Project say that they do not want to offend religions they offend many Christians! But it seems that they think that is o.k.

Also recently, there was another article I read (by a Muslim lady) who was concerned that local councils (I think it was in Birmingham?) wanted to ban any Christian schools from having the word "St." in front of it's name (e.g. St. Thomas' etc). It was argued that this would be done so as not to offend Muslims. However, the Muslim lady who wrote the article said that the majority of Muslims have no problem with it. Again, this lady said that Muslims feel awkward when they hear these sort of things as it is not them who want these things. Instead it is the political correctness gang. She also noted how many Muslims even send their children to Christian run schools because of the morals they teach.
