Have you guys had a chance to look at 'the briefing?' If not, cnn.com has a nice PDF of it for you. Read it in all of it's vague, worthless badness.

These politicos who have embarked on the worst kind of witch hunt to place blame on Bush and company for the 9/11 attacks should be ashamed. We are talking about thousands of dead Americans, not a political leverage point.

The Bush Administration absolutely knew there was a threat. Everybody did. You did, and if you didn't, then you just plain were not paying attention. What could we have done about it? Police state? The only possible way to prevent that kind of thing would be the systematic dismantling of civil liberties that we are now seeing, and now that they are being implemented they are being criticized by the very people who would purport they should have been implemented pre 9/11 in an attempt to prevent the disaster from ever happening. Circular, false logic being used to tarnish the incumbent administration in an election year.
