Ashena watched him as his face had the perfect mask of cordiality, of pretend happiness and a smooth facade of unbroken calmness written along his face. Too bad, she knew better. Too bad she could see into his true emotions and feel what he felt. They both could feel each others real emotions, no matter what type of front they put up due to their rather odd bond and its what had Zeth caught in his front. She could feel it in her mind, his lack of energy, his slow draining of everything within him, the soul filled with tears. What on earth had happened to her best friend? What had gone down that she had been so unaware about? So utterly confused and lost in? She searched his mind, searching a bit more to find that it hadn't been her fault he had left, nor was it because of her that he had returned.

Was she angry at him for his hasty goodbye? His dismissal of her job as he left and didn't say a word about if she would have it upon his return? To be honest, yeah a bit. But seeing him on the inside, behind this smooth porcelain mask he wore, seeing the real Zeth made her heart break a bit for him. He was acting happy, although she knew he was genuine in his happiness to see her. But his overall happiness was an act and it scared her slightly. His words broke her out of her little trance and she removed her hand from his shoulder, dropping it back down to her side as he moved away from the door and backed away to allow her to walk in. She watched him with her big green eyes as she stepped inside and closed the door behind her. She looked away and took a deep breath at his question. "I didn't know....I was about to leave until I got that feeling. The one I always get when you come near. It's our bond, or....do you not remember?" She asked him with a slight raise to her eyebrow, a tilt to her head.
