Zeth's only REAL problem (besides his play dates) was that he didn't know the meaning of �surrender�. It is a French word, is it not? And Zeth didn't speak french. He let his body press against a crate that stood with its face torn off in a shower of splinters and he crossed his arms over black clad chest. �Right thing? Well, hurry then. My noodles are getting cold.� He spat back the venom of sarcasm directly to its bearer.

Zeth didn't fear Lucian the way he probably ought to. And he wasn't smart enough to realize that he had several vulnerable attributes (his beautiful wife or his attractive friend) that Lucian would want to exploit. Zeth's problem was that he couldn't think outside the box. He knew that Alicia knew of Lucian and therefor could not be tempted into falling for any of his usual bullshit. And he had warned Ashena about falling into the beds of younger, shadowed clad, men. After all, no one ever left the bed in one piece after Lucian had gotten what he wanted.

But what Zeth didn't know that Lucian knew, was that by endangering this weakness, Zeth would always fold and do whatever was asked of him and that always spelled TROUBLE.
