Subject: Is something like that legal?

Is it like the civilian version? How much did that set you back? Cute little fella you have there. He must be your youngest (for now)? I seem to recall him being about the same age as my youngest (two boys 6 & 3)?

I don't want anything like that in my home (Gwyd's protestations of oppression to the contrary). Nothing beats a good pump action 12 guage shotgun for personal and home protection in my opinion. Something like that would seem to me to be as much of a hazard as a means for protection? Rifled bullets travel far and your kids in the next room and the kids living a few blocks away might not appreciate stray rounds. A twelve guage firing bird shot really won't penetrate very far, but nailing an assailent full in the chest with it is sure to get their attention. Besides late at night nothing beats the shock and awe of a twelve guage.

As for recreation, I can see where something like that would be fun, but for me I don't have the time. Rounds for that thing have got to be expensive? I suppose loading your own could be cheaper, but that has to be time consuming?

Good luck with the new rifle. I'm sure the little one's are chomping at the bit to get out with dad and do some test firing.
