[> Hiya Gang!!!!! I have been having some major computer problems at home and haven't been able to post often or even get on the computer. The computer has been back and forth from the computer hospital all summer and it's still not right. Lissa, I owe you an e-mail but can't get to my mailbox. Please know I'm thinking of you and as soon as said computer is fixed-I'll be writing. Come inside for more>>>>>>>>>>> -- Keira, 06:01:39 08/12/03 Tue

Well, here I sit at work (on my break) and am able to get to the boards-hopefully after writing all this, it will allow me to post from work.

Fergus 2003 was absolutely brilliant!!!!!!!! Hugs to all who were there in Spirit. I can honestly say that this was the best year ever!! Do I really say that every year? LOL.
The anticipation leading up to the weekend just adds to all the fun. We had great fun looking forward to meeting everyone coming from far and near. On Thursday I traveled to Guelph and met up with Val, JP and Janice and we had a wonderful time shopping for a gift for Herself. Found a lovely gift shop around the corner from my parents along with a fab bookstore. Had dinner that evening in a British pub called the Shakespeare Arms-they serve a lovely brew. Had to leave for home as Lyn(Lady Rosien) was flying into London on Friday. Met her at the airport on Friday and we flew, I mean drove back to Guelph to meet a group of Hosers for dinner on Friday night. That dinner was great, met with lots of Hosers and caught up with everyone and what was happening in their lives. Back to London for the night.(kids were home alone and I had visions of the house being a wreck!!)
Saturday morning dawned bright and early-we took off with my youngest in tow. Met everyone at Val C's camper and proceeded to shop till we dropped, LOL-only kidding, although we did visit a lot of vendors. Met up at the beer tent-great meeting place and everyone seems to know how to find it!!!!!
Saturday night was just perfect. We had dinner (49 people in total-including Herself and Himself) at a family run restaurant called the Garafraxa Pines and I would be hard pressed to name a dinner I've enjoyed more. Sitting next to Herself and Doug may have had something to do with that, hahahaa. The service was delightful, the food was excellently prepared and tasted wonderful, the room we had was great-the company the best...what more can I say?
That night I stayed in Guelph so Sunday morning headed back to the festival grounds to meet up with everyone. We wandered around, met at the beer tent, listened to Seven Nations and all in all had a brilliant time.
Lyn stayed at our house again Sunday and Monday night-she is at the airport as I write this waiting for her flight home. We spent today just reliving everything and relaxing.
If any of you are thinking of coming next year, don't give it any more thought-just come!!!!!!! You won't regret it. Lots of hugs to go around, (((Jeannine))) and lots of nice lookin' men in kilts.
Also 2005 is the 60th anniversary of the Fergus Games and the committee is planning quite a huge celebration. Herself will be there along with the rest of us so plan on coming for the next couple of years.

I wish you all could have been there. I'll post pics as soon as I can load them onto the computer. Ron might be able to post a few before me.
Hugs to all, will try and get back to this board and post some more when computer is fixed.

Keira

[> Fergus was great this year, despite the rain on saturday night that flooded our tent. I met a great guy named Ian. The dinner with Diana was great. I got another book signed and actually ran into 2 girls that I had seen 3 weeks before at my class reunion. Talk about a surprise! Saw Enter the Haggis play at the beer tent, but missed Seven Nations :( Met some great people, made new friends and didn't want to leave. -- Colly, 10:31:48 08/12/03 Tue

[> Oh it all sounds like way too much fun. Donna (who lurks here once in a while) was there and tried to find those of you that were there - visited the beer tent 3 times but only ran into Val and Val and JP so she was bummed. She was going to give everyone hugs from me! Glad everyone had a great time and hopefully next year I can make it. It's been too long...Can't wait to see pictures!!!!!!!! Keira I hope your computer woes end soon. There are a couple nasty viruses going around right now so I hope you have good protection for that too! -- Lori, 18:19:08 08/13/03 Wed

[> Hi Keira! Glad to hear that your absence is merely because of computer troubles. *G* I imagined that you were as busy as I have been with everyone home for the summer. Hard to believe that school and September are just around the corner. -- Lissa, 13:07:08 08/15/03 Fri
