Subject: Well, I did my shopping for caffeine free hot drinks today and think I have a solution. I bought a package which has five different herbal caffeine free teas in it, four tea bags of each, and another of lemon, although that flavour is in the first package. I discovered that Postum is still available in an A&P supermarket, so bought a jar of it. One of these choices at least should provide the answer to a satisfying and tasty hot drink which is caffeine free. I don't plan to try one after the other, remembering what Antje said. I tried one of the lemon ones just now and sweetened it with honey. The jury is still out on that one, but I have five more flavours or drinks to try. Oh, and the saleslady where I bought the herbal teas was of the opinion that herbal teas should be used within two years at the most, or thrown out, which I did to my mint tea! Thanks, everyone, for your kind advice in this discussion.

[> Ron and Anyone having trouble sleeping: I work nights, 7pm-7am, several nights in a row, and I can't even THINK of what life would be like without my Celestial Seasons Sleepytime Extra tea. It lulls me into slumber. Heaven!!! -- Betsy, 21:45:48 11/05/03 Wed

[> [> Betsy, that's one of the five in the packet I bought! I'm looking forward to taking a mug of it before going to bed tonight. It's hard to stop trying these out! That will make three of the five I tried today. The second was the Peppermint which I had during dinner. I liked it very much, gave it an "A". -- Ron, 22:31:16 11/05/03 Wed

[> [> [> Oh,and Brenda, I found the herbal chai tea today, but decided that six were enough to try at this time. Maybe a week from now I'll try some of it. -- Ron, 22:37:27 11/05/03 Wed

[> [> [> [> Oh! I am so glad to hear that you were able to find it. I drink both regular herbal tea and the herbal chai mixed half with milk. I like the chai before bed, something about the creaminess of the warmed milk in it that helps send me off to la la land. I drink regular herb tea during the day at work (being careful not to drink too much so I don't need to abandon my 30 nine year olds as I sprint for the washroom!) -- Brenda, 20:19:31 11/06/03 Thu
