Subject: Help needed!

Thanks for all the replies below! As Colly said, we don´t always have the energy to say something profound, so feel free to post whatever is going on in your lives.

Now I have a question. Does anyone have Jane Robert´s three books of “Oversoul Seven” sitting on the bookshelf? Would you mind lending it to me? I can´t buy it on Amazon because it is out of print. I would like to give it to JS (he is too busy to even lurk here right now*g*), because it answers a lot of his questions. Or maybe there is a bookstore close to you where they still have it? I would pay of course.

Thanks for helping!

[> Can't help with an actual book but do have a book site that may help. Try http://www.bestbookdeal.com/index.html .They search through many booksellers. You said you tried amazon, did you try amazon.uk. Worth a look. Good luck with your search. -- JeanClaire*, 09:17:50 11/21/03 Fri

[> Haven't read these before. What are they about? The title sounds interesting. Hope you're able to find them. Nothing new today here except we're supposed to get a blizzard with heavy snow on Sunday. Oh yay! Here it comes. Maybe if I put the snowblower on the front lawn showing we're prepared and Mother Nature sees it maybe Murphy's Law will kick in and the snow won't come...haha -- Lori, 11:01:03 11/21/03 Fri

[> [> Hey! I like the snowblower/murphy's law thing!! Maybe I'll get out our shovle, give it to my DH and have him stand outside!! hehehehehe Do you think that'll work?? *VBG* As to the books, never heard of them. I am reading a rather interesting one myself, though; "The Devil in the Shape of a Woman." It's a factual in-depth look at women and the colonial witch hunts. Just chock full of info!! -- Ann, 13:30:04 11/21/03 Fri

[> [> Blizzard? No snow in sight here. We have it about 10°C warm and it doesn´t feel anything like Christmas is coming soon. Oh well, we should get used to it. Last year it was so warm on New Years Eve that we could be outside for doing the fireworks with the coats open. I remember in my childhood it used to be freezing and we had ice-rain that night! Talk about global warming! -- Martina, 07:16:14 11/24/03 Mon

[> More information about Oversoul Seven in here>>> -- Martina, 04:59:00 11/24/03 Mon

Thanks for the replies! Amazon UK appears to still have them, and I think they are still in some bookstores to find that have a good spiritual section. We have a good one near by, it’s the biggest of Europe, and they still sell them, but only in German.

Here a short description for those interested in trying to find them somewhere:

Oversoul Seven is more than a spirit guide. The book is based on Jane Roberts Seth Material. Seth dictated her in trance the trilogy of Oversoul Seven as well.
The very high developed spiritual entity “Seth” said our soul is a multidimensional personality, meaning since time is an illusion and doesn’t really exist the way we perceive it, the soul is split up into a whole bunch of lives which take place at the same “time”.
So it happens that we are busy with a life in the stone-age, another one in 2050, one in 2003, one in 1735 and so on, all at once!
Now someone needs to keep the overview.*G* For that purpose we have an “Oversoul” which guides each one of our lives. We can have several other spirit guides watching over us, but there is only one “Oversoul” which is PART of ourselves, part of the ONE HUGE SOUL we ARE, and therefore the one most understanding, most loving, most caring.
Some people would rather call it the higher self.
I think for understanding the book it is best not to picture Oversoul Seven as a guardian angel, but as being our higher self. The higher self is watching over all our “aspects”, wherever they might be right now, knows everything about us, knows us better than a spirit guide that is not part of ourselves ever could.

Oversoul Seven is not yet perfect himself though. By guiding all of his soul-aspects that are busy with living lives on earth, he never stops learning. He himself does have a spirit guide at his side as well, who helps him if he doesn´t know what to do about one of his aspects that is in trouble or pain.

The education of Oversoul Seven shows us how the other side works, and how spirit guides and higher selves work.. He struggles with things like creating the right environment for his souls when they visit him over there at night during their sleep. One night he creates a classroom for one of his souls that is living in modern times. Suddenly and unexpected one of his other souls visits him at the same “location” and gets confused by cables, computers and clocks he had “put” there, because she lives in the stone age and has never before seen such things. Seven gets a lecture from his guide after that, because it should not have happened. It confused the stone age soul and gave her a weird memory of a strange “dream”, hehe. (Would that explain the crap we sometimes dream?*lol*)

Sven struggles with a lot of things over there. He has to learn how his souls have to deal with a body and life on earth in order to understand their emotions and actions. In the second book he incarnates (sort of) himself to experience having a body. This is quite funny to read.*g* His souls go through all sorts of troubles we all can relate to. The way he helps without directly influencing the free will is interesting!

The third book deals with the time aspect. It was very complicated for me to understand. It made sense, but I can’t repeat it, haha. But for those of us who worry about what becomes of earth it is comforting, because it explains the possibilities. There are millions of possibilities we can chose from. Sure, some of them include earth’s destruction, but there are also others that show a wonderful future. It is on us which one to chose, there is no written fate for planet earth we can’t escape from.

I loved “Oversoul Seven”. I felt comforted, knew I am always guided, never alone, and the idea of having my own higher self taking care of me appealed much more to me than one of a rather impersonal God. It doesn’t say there is no God though! Even very very Christian people would not get offended by reading this. It doesn’t compete with God, because God is still watching over all of this. The Seth Material explains the concept of God different than church though. But I don’t remember if this subject was also touched in Oversoul Seven. The Seth Material though makes a very interesting point on who Jesus was and what his purpose was.

Anyway, I can only recommend it!!!! It’s fun, makes sense and sounds logical too. And that is rare, isn’t it?*VBG*
