Subject: Ann, I don't feel this takes away from my post at all. :) I don't know the answers to your questions but I'm looking forward to the responses from others! I was just reading in the Fairy book about how meditating on rocks can help you connect with your angels. They are vibrationally connected to mother earth and carry the energy of spirit.

Each stone has it's own vibration & it's own power, just as most things in the Universe do. Linda said it very well, stones are connected & part of the Earth & therefore carry the energy of spirit. They are part of the structure of the earth, the very foundation of our "home". Also I think color has alot to do with their properties. Most green stones are associated with healing (a main color associated with the Earth) & also money/abundance. Pinks & reds are the affection stones associated with our red hearts and our lifes blood. The pale blue of blue lace agate is calming to look at & eases our mind etc. As to the correlation between the colors and/or compositions & the metaphysical properties go I'm not sure.
