Subject: Good Question Ann, I would say yes. I like to think of it like a radio, if we want to hear country music we will "tune" to a different channel than a rock station. Minerals vibrate at different frequencies, so we need only choose the correct mineral to enhance what we seek. Metaphysical properties may make the vibrations sound super natural, but they are a part of life, part of nature. Some things are dead, like cement if you put a battery on cement it will drain until empty, but if you put a piece of wood between the cement and battery, the battery will not die. We are bio-electric beings, and therefore the vibrations of our surroundings will affect us as in the example of the battery. Colors are frequencies too, a rose quartz vibrates at a different frequency than white quartz. There are many factors involved, but we can learn what affects what and use them to our advantage. :)
