No, Former GAFFer brought that up, and I elaborated. I disagree with mocking a fandom or fans, despite my perceptions of the disturbing nature of some fandoms, but I do agree that it's hypocritical to be an active member of a fandom yet berate fellow fans of committing the same mistakes.

Unfortunately, I don't, and I apologize for not having one. I was commenting from a conceptual standpoint. I'm not certain if Former GAFFer was commenting conceptually or practically (i.e., if she had one or several specific people in mind). Because of that uncertainty, I left my comments in the conceptual realm.

I apologize for the confusion. I thought you meant that I was the one to raise the issue about fans of fandoms like "Nightmare on Elm Street." I did not raise the issue, but I did comment on the comments made.

Indeed, which is why I have always disagreed with mocking the fans and the fandoms, no matter how much I might personally disagree with their beliefs. I think you might have my stance on the issue confused with Former GAFFer's, whose stances I was commenting on and selectively agreeing and disagreeing with.

I find it interesting that some -- primarily the participants or perceived recipients of the discussions -- find my tone pedantic and condescending, while others -- primarily those uninvolved in the discussions but who follow them closely -- do not.

Thank you for the clarification. :) I found it difficult to perceive repetitions of the private joke, made in public fora, as a private joke and not a public display of arrogance over others' captivation with you, no matter how ill-founded that may be according to you, as you attest with your statement about lack of cleavage and "how you use it" mattering more than size (i.e., comment made on the InvisionFree board). Yet my perception did not compel me to call you pompous at any time, until you made that comment about me. I shall endeavor to distinguish such private jokes, made in public fora, from commentaries on ego, but I cannot guarantee much success.
