I agree on all points, and would like to add a big "thanks" to the SG for getting an alternative board up so soon.

And regarding future alternatives: Invision may suck as a company, but their board was a dream, the format was perfect for the subject matter. I loved the categories, and I loved the intra-category main page that displayed all those hilarious subject lines. If we can get something like that again, it would be great.

But really, the format isn't as important as the freedom regarding subject matter. Not that I have any interest in porn, or ever even LOOKED at any threat started by Heywood... but I'm an adult, and have no love for being told what I can and cannot discuss.

So I'm no expert, but am in the process of asking around and trying to be helpful.
