I totally agree with Matt. I'm a newbie, I wasn't there when the old board got trolled and I'm a bit surprised when I saw the board had been TOSed.

If The Site Guru wanted to pay for something, a website that could house the forum would be ideal. There are now free PHP board scripts that you can use with any webhost that supports PHP, it's really pretty easy even if you don't know PHP.

But the problem is always the same, most servers that offer affordable prices have "adult content" and "intellectual rights infringement" clauses, amongst others, so they can TOS you too.

If it comes to having to pay to have a website/forum, as someone mentioned that this community is really tight-knit, perhaps creating a Pay-Pal account so that member who want to can chip in on a voluntary basis would be a good idea.
