Theres me being extremely complimentery about Pools after the playoffs on here, and theres you trying to have a laugh at our expense.

Sorry mate, but we were all expecting him to go, so you are a bit late on that one.

And yes Tommy, i do feel Stoke is a step up.

He's taken us as far as he can, and a 1st div side [with potential] is the next step.

If he didn't try his luck with Stoke, then he would still be away soon.

remember what i said at the end of the season.

We will probably come straight back down!!!

But you never know, cos it's a funny old game.

Losing Cotterill though will be like losing 2 of your best players and next year will be tough. Yeah, its a requirement your name ends in Son to play for Stoke these days. I'll certainly be looking out for your results, and if you hang onto your best players then you'll still be a hard team to beat. I think it has helped us not going up straightaway, we've had 3 exciting seasons now where we have fucked it on the last day which has meant the crowds have been rising, the team gradually improving and club as a whole getting bigger. Had we gone up the first play-off year then there is no doubt in my mind we would have come back down, Turner would have been sacked or moved on and we'd be back to square one with unnatractive football infront of 2000 people. Best of Luck anyway
