Subject: I think his reaction was more to do with the gobshites on this messageboard all year rather than how Cotterill conducted himself during the play-off games. He was a credit to your club then, he didn't go wild and was the first to offer his condolences to his friend Turner and his comments in the press afterwards were spot on. Losing Cotterill though will be like losing 2 of your best players and next year will be tough. Just for the record, I can't see Turner joining in a million years but you never know.

Yeah, its a requirement your name ends in Son to play for Stoke these days. I'll certainly be looking out for your results, and if you hang onto your best players then you'll still be a hard team to beat. I think it has helped us not going up straightaway, we've had 3 exciting seasons now where we have fucked it on the last day which has meant the crowds have been rising, the team gradually improving and club as a whole getting bigger. Had we gone up the first play-off year then there is no doubt in my mind we would have come back down, Turner would have been sacked or moved on and we'd be back to square one with unnatractive football infront of 2000 people.
