Subject: It's June 6th, time to pause and remember how HoLaS came to be and to

say, "Thanks again, Missy, for being the the seed that started so many wonderful friendships online and off." It's been eight years since she left us a legacy of caring relationships that started online. I pause to remember my other friends that I met here also who are now gone because Cancer took them; Laura (Aura) Ingleby on March 15, 2001 and my very precious friend Evie Kendrick on March 12, 2005. Wouldn't it be wonderful if this was the year that the cure is found so we never have to lose another loved one to it?

Perhaps it could be, if more people volunteered their computers to work on the cancer project with United Devices. I downloaded and installed the UD program on my computer in 2001 when I first heard about it, right after Laura Ingleby died. I then started a holas team but only two others joined in and they stopped using the device after a while. I will leave the link here one more time and hope that perhaps others will get involved in the project.

It does NOT interfere with you using your computer. It only uses cpu power that is not being used for other things at the time, or you can set it to only work when you are not using the pc for anything else, in place of a screensaver for instance. I have had it on every pc I've had since 2001 and never had any trouble with it after the first week or so, (it was losing the data when it tried to give it back to their server), but they fixed that problem immediately and it's been fine ever since.

At least check out the site, if you have time, and see what the program is all about. I'd like to believe that we could help make the dream of a cancer free world a reality if all or most of the world's computers work together on it.

Peace and keep those LOVE lights glowing; you never know when someone may need YOUR light to find the way home!

The Nightowl of holas
