Subject: Most of you may remember Joy from the old holas days. She could use our prayers right now, if you would be so kind. Her mom died this morning after a very long and painful few years. ........

She's been in a nursing home for a couple of years I guess, with several problems including her heart, arthritis and Parkinson's disease. She's been in the hospital for several weeks now with pneumonia and an erratic heartbeat. She kept asking to go home, so Joy and two of her brothers decided to take her home for her final days as she wished. One brother is angry with them for "giving up" and letting her go, etc. Joy could really use prayers for him too, that he will come to see that it would be wrong to keep her alive with feeding tubes etc., (she had stopped eating and drinking in the hospital), with so much pain that even morphine could not keep her comfortable for long.

If any of you would like her e-mail address to send an e-card or e-mail, write to me at my verizon addy or my yahoo address and I will send it to you. I won't post her address here as I have not asked permission to do so, but I'm sure she would be ok with the idea of getting e-mail from any of her old holas family.
