Subject: prayer request for an old friend

I got a letter from an old friend from high school. She sent me an e-mail address and asked me to contact her there. She has a mailstation not a pc, so she is limited on what she can send and receive. Anyhoot, she sent me a note the other day saying that her husband was starting cancer treatment that day. I contacted her and got her permission to post a prayer request here for her. I'll post an excerp of her e-mail here as it's easier than retyping it.

AFTER 10 YEARS OF BEING CANCER FREE, MY JIM HAS IT AGAIN. I WANT JIM TO GET ALL THE PRAYERS HE CAN TO BEAT THIS ONE. IT IS SQUAMOUS CELL AND IS IN THE SOFT TISSUE OF THE BACK OF THE THROAT. THEY FOUND IT VERY EARLY AND IF THE RADIATION GETS ALL OF IT HE HAS AN 85% SURVIVAL CHANCE IF IT DOESN'T RETURN THE FIRST YEAR. AND IT WILL GET BETTER THE 3RD, 4TH AND 5TH. AFTER THAT HE'LL BE DECLARED FREE.

I would like to also request that you pray for her family as a whole, as they have other issues that need a healing touch as well. God knows what these are, and it's not that important that we know the details only that Linda's family is in pain and needs help. I thank you all for your love and support of the past and know that you will also be here for my old friend Lin.
