HI EVERONE! JUST GOT BACK FROM JIM'S FINAL CHECKUP BEFORE THE 'BIG DAY'! AS I SAID, THESE GUYS ARE THOROUGH!!! HIS CATSCAN CAME BACK NEGATIVE IN THE REMAINING BRONCHIAL TUBE! PRAISE GOD! HIS OVERALL CHECKUP IS STILL EXCELLENT!! PRAISE GOD! THIS DOCTOR GAVE HIM A MEDICINE TO TAKE 1/2 HOUR BEFORE EACH FUTURE VISIT; IT IS TO HELP PROTECT THE GOOD THROAT TISSUE AND LEAVE THE CANCER CELLS VULNERABLE TO THE RADIATION! (GUESS IT WORKS LIKE DOAN'S BACK ACHE PILLS---WORKS GREAT ON THE BACK PAIN BUT DOESN'T DO A THING IF YOU HAVE A HEADACHE ALSO!) HE CAN CONTINUE TO WORK UNTIL HE GETS TOO WEAK...HE WILL HAVE TO FORGET ABOUT SOFTBALL AS THE NECK AREA WILL BE TOO VULNERABLE TO THE SUN. LATER ON DOWN THE ROAD HE CAN GO BACK TO IT AS LONG AS HE USES LOTS OF SUNSCREEN ON HIS THROAT AND FACE! (I'M ALL READY TO 'DUKE' IT OUT WITH HIM ABOUT THIS LATTER STUFF.) AS YOU KNOW, HE'S A DIEHARD WORK-A-HAULIC AND SPORTS-A-HAULIC (OK MOST OF THE TIME) BUT BAD ABOUT USING SUNSCREEN!!!!!! ANYWAY, HE STARTS GETTING "MICROWAVED" ON TUESDAY, 2:30 AND EVERYDAY AT 3:00 FOR 7 WEEKS. HUGS TOO ALL, LOVE, LINDA & JIM (WITH GOD AND ALL OF YOU IN OUR CORNER, WE CAN'T LOSE!)
