I have let Lin know that you and others have sent prayers and messages for her and Jim. I forward them to her each time a new one is posted or e-mailed to me. She is very stressed right now, Jim is not getting enough fluids, is getting nauseated and wants to quit, but she is determined to get him through these last 3 weeks of radiation. It is working, as the growths ARE shrinking some. Lin is battling Jim's negative attitude all the way. Fortunately, her own health problems are not so bad right now, so she has more strength to cope with his problems.

She has a sleep disorder along with other medical problems, so she does not have too many friends nearby that she can lean on during this battle. Her kids are all grown and on their own too, so they are not around much to help out either. Like myself, she sometimes can't sleep for a day or so at all, and then has times when 8 hours is not enough, and will sleep 10-16 hours straight. It can rain havoc on any relationship, but Jim, like Tom, is very understanding of it and realizes that she has no control over that situation. Some days it's a fight for her to stay awake at times when she really needs to be aware, but so far she is doing okay. I pray that she can keep this at bay, at least till Jim's radiation is finished, and without getting her other physical problems flaring, especially migraines, as they tend to get nasty when one doesn't get enough rest.

Peace and love,
Betty
