Is there perhaps a power struggle over recruitment that hasn't been fully resolved at this point? It could be that the chairman has backed Silva's personal preferences that have been to date an abject failure and now they want to put those decisions back into the hands of a DOF. I might be wrong, but I get the impression that Silva has a bit of an ego and needs to control. There's any number of perhaps possibilities all reasonably plausible unless coming from Mickey. Marco said at the weekend that they were talking and mentioned technical staff as one topic. Those talks don't have to be confrontational with red lines everywhere although they may be. If the talks are friendly and constructive the parties may not feel the same urgency as the fans. This is a very realistic and sensible post, but i would say that as a business, FFC is heavily customer/public facing and this kind of uncertainty is optically pretty poor on that front.
