NEC will play in the final playoffs after the away win against groningen and watching Fulham on the internet was very nervous.

When Fulham scored all my 4 boys watched the final 15 minutes and when the final whistle sounded the whole family was jumping from joy !

- I can't, but I would like to take this opportunity to state that I was completely wrong about Hodgson. Seems like ages and ages ago, but after the Derby and Sunderland games (just over a month ago according to my fixtures), I was convinced he was totally the wrong man for the job. Who knows, perhaps a few home truths were called in the changing room after Sunderland, because (other than against Plod) we have looked an entirely diffrerent team since then. - Me too AB, thought Hodgson too calm,cautious and not anywhere near aggressive enough, he reacted the same whether we won or lost - meanwhile we were boiling over. Could never understand him neglecting Nevland. Well done the players, what a monumental effort in the last few weeks and you all deserved ten out of ten yesterday.
Well done Roy Hodgson, Ray Lew (you could have waved back!) and the rest of the coaching staff, it must've been a huge job to turn around the damage that Sanchez inflicted.
Well done to all the fans there (or anywhere around the country/world) yesterday, I couldn't think of a greater bunch to share it with. We're the best fans in the world.

Well done to Jari's Mullet, I'm really glad you made the game mate and I'll see you for a beer again soon.

Thanks to Bert, Twan and Frans from NEC who've supported us all the way. Great win again for you boys yesterday, you never know we may see you in Europe next season!

Thanks to Scottie (the "Aussie bastard") who never gave up and wouldn't let me either. You kept me going when it all looked so dark, I wish you could have been there with us brother.

Last, but by no means least, thanks you to my lovely girlfriend who had the confidence, faith and knowledge to 'know that we were going to win' and stopped me being a nervous wreck for most of the game/day/week.

- Yep... we would have been down. Goal differences would have been identical (unless we'd won by 2 say, in which case they'd have needed 8) but they would have scored more goals so they would have stayed up. Believe me, that nightmare scenario had bothered me all week. When Reading scored early, I could see it happening. Strangely, it probably helped that we scored late. If we'd gone ahead early, they would have had no choice but to go for it and, like you say, it was always possible that Derby could concede that many. This morning the first (Sanchez) part of this season is like a distant bad dream - hard now to reconcile the fantastic bond we as fans now enjoy with the team, the new generation of young boisterous singing supporters, the spirit of recent games and the sheer magic of yesterday with a desperate message I posted here just a few months ago when I mourned the loss of the Fulham spirit and pointed out with sadness the fact that 'we don't sing our players' names any more'... it felt like we'd all given up, the passion drained out of us by a joyless regime; but so much has changed since then. It feels like our beloved club has been reborn - and that is down to (to name just a few heroes) ... Bullard... McBride... Murphy... FAYED HIMSELF... Fulham supporters - so recently it felt like we were defeated as a group but suddenly we're so fuggin' LOUD ... So proud... so black and white... WE ARE FULHAM!!!

Jesus, I live for them days. from the early train down there to the train back into waterloo. It was magical. Of all the away games i have been to that is got to be up there with the best. The fans were different gear, I did not hear portsmouth all game!

I honestly think that yesterday was almost better than that day at Carlisle. I just can't beleive we did it.

Funniest thing is that I have almost no recollection of the last 17 minutes, I was just in some sort of Catatonic state staring at my watch.

I think this escape was even better than the one in '66. Even though we were farther behind then we had a longer run at it and put together a longer string of results. This time though it was a shorter run it was more outstanding simply because we simply confounded form with those 3 away wins at the heart of it. Whatever doubts we may have about Roy in the long term we have to admit he's turned it round for us, and what a gent, the most elequent manager since Alec Stock, his manner seems to fit just right for a club with the tradition of ours. Looking forward to next season with a great deal more optimism than I did the beginning of the one just gone. Hope Roy and his team have the courage and foresight to make the decisions that now have to be made for the future of the playing side of the club. But for now we're just basking in the wonder of it all, just like '66!

- Well I for one have no doubts about Roy long term. I want him to run the country not just our club. As far as I'm concerned he's pulled off a miracle and until things go pear shaped (we are Fulham, they will) any decision he may make is sounder than any doubts any of us may have. This is greater than 1966 because the penalties for relegation are so much higher now but I think we've done more than simply avoid going down. We've seen more life and enthusiasm than at any other time in the last 7 years on and off the pitch.The supporters have upped their game and I think we now feel like we're a premiership club and with a 30K stadium on the way we'll have the crowds to match. Watched the game in the Trophy lounge yesterday with my family pleased for my grandad who has been following the Whites all his life.

Great Atmosphere although my nerves were pushed to the limit several pints of Carlsberg cold helped.

6 points adrift - contemplating Championship football without the Premiership hype - no away win for 18 months - Phil Thompson constantly saying we haven't the skill or nous, or should I say the Sky Panel - 2-0 down at Citeh, Brum 2 up ... & then this.
Win 4 out of 5 - 3 AWAY ON THE BOUNCE - beating a full strength Pompey team AWAY, something none of the top tfour could do - 15 mins to go as we were 'down' again then.
Couldn't write it - true storybook stuff.
But we did.
Roy Hodgson, the Team - the club - simply phenomenal!

Must pay tribute to the Pompey supporters yesterday who were exceptionally friendly throughout the day. There was only one plonker on the way from the Fratton Station to the ground who started singing "Going Down" (how I wished I'd seen him on the return journey!)otherwise the rest were a credit to their Club. Thank you.

Fulham's communications officer Sarah Brooks said: "It is certainly a possibility that we could be playing in the UEFA Cup.

"It is a complicated situation in which administration efficiency is also taken into consideration as well as on-field behaviour but we know we are in a good position and expect to have confirmation from the Premier League early next week.

As a 22 year old guy who's been going to Fulham with his dad since the age of 3, today was special. We were long gone a few weeks back. Is this the greatest escape of all time? Got changed into my Fulham shirt before I walked into my local tonight on way back from the game + the amount of congratulations thrown in my direction was second to none. Forget United winning the title, I don't even care if Chelsea win the Champions League, because there is no way they would EVER understand what it's like to support a team, who over the years were on the verge of bankruptcy and the amount of shit I got for being Fulham as a kid when we languished in the bottom divisions, that will never be forgotten. But today I stand proud, with another season of top flight football to look forward to. We are Fulham. What a day. I must have hugged anyone in sight between the ages of 5 and 85. To HC below and everyone else who kept telling me we should get rid of Sanchez ASAP - I was 100% wrong and I am so happy about it. I never wanted Sanchez as Fulham manager but hate changing managers half way through a season - I thought that unstability would mean we were doomed for sure as a new manager struggled to change a bad team - I was 100% wrong and I am so happy to be so!!!

Now that the euphoria is giving way to a warm fuzzy realisation that the whites are indeed staying up, I can offer the following ratrional comments on how to re-build for next season:

1. Every single individual involved in our season this year should be cannonised. Especial Saint Danny of Toxteth and Saint Roy - the patron saint of escape artists. Everyone except Sanchez the Antichrist who should recieve a localised plague of locusts in his ridiculous Ivory Tower.

2. Reading should not have to play in the the Fizzy Pop league - they should be demoted to the conference - why were those plastic w*nkers crying on the day their team won the league?

3. Harrods should be sold, with all proceeds going to Roy to buy anyone he likes.

4. I need a season ticket - that should get the frequent flyer points up!

That should do it.

The match reports from referees at Fulham and Manchester City's games will detemine which club will qualify for the UEFA cup next season through the Fair Play award.
Tottenham have won the award with Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Everton making up the top 5. It is now between Manchester City and Fulham for the next place and that will mean europe as the top 5 have already qualified for european competition next season.
Early indications suggest that based on yellow and red cards part of the points - fulham have closed the gap from 5 to just 1 point following Richard Dunnes sending off for City today (-3). Sun Jihai was also booked(-1).
The rest of the points are determined by positive play, respect towards refs and officials and the behaviour of officials. These will be determined by officials in their match reports.

Still cannot quite believe it. I had resigned myself to Championship football since the Everton away defeat in December but thank you Fulham for proving me wrong. I am so proud to call myself a Fulham fan tonight and am so glad I support a team that is that stubborn enough not to be relegated when they have been dead men walking for most of the season. I keep saying to myself no away wins for a year and a half then 3 in a row to salvage our Premiership status. YOU COULD NOT MAKE THAT UP. Well what a day. As if the result wasn't enough, I've had strangers on the bus congratulating me (a lot of Chelsea, too)I met a lady on the bus and got chatting to her, she'd just come back from Fratton. Today really summed up what it meant to be Fulham today, texts from people I hadn't heard from in years, people looking after you when you felt upset (you know who you are) and an unbreakable spirit. I have never experienced relegation before and I was really looked after by a veteran today. Thats being Fulham. If anyone ever asks you in the future what 'Fulhamish' means, get them to watch this season's DVD, it's all in there.

Lastly, massive well done to RH and the boys. The man has just gone down in Fulham folklore. Are you watching Sorry Lawrie!!!

Am absolutely over the moon 2nite. i dnt think it has yet sunk in. what an escape. however the fact that i wasnt there 2day has made me slightly sad. in march i had a decision to make either miss sunderland at home or pompey away as i had to take a tennis coaching course on one of the 2 dates. i opted to miss the pompey game as i have a season ticket. how i regret that decision now. 4 of my mates went 2day and were calling me whilst i was on my course and i answered just after we scored, hearing all those fans there singin made me feel really gutted at missing out. what makes it worse is that the sunderland game was an awful 3-1 loss. even when the coaching course finished at 4 30 today i had 2 sit and watch the rest of the chelsea game. i had to see we'd gone 1-0 up on the score scroll at the bottom of the screen, it just didnt feel right. whilst i was celebrating and shouting other people on the course(man utd and chelsea fans) looked at me as if i was mad, they wondered why i was getting so excited about avoiding relegation. the chelsea fans were over the fact that they didnt win the title 5 mins after the final whistle. if we'd of gone down it would've taken a hell of a lot longer for me to of got over our relegation. thats why i love my club, all the fans truly love the club, have a passion for everything about it the history, heritage and everyone connected to the club.
