Not over yet -- SeanOrp, Sunday, April 15, 01:12:29pm(97e319fc.skybroadband.com/22.214.171.124)
Firstly I think that Cardiff will now probably finish second but....
Lets assume we win the next three. Obviously if we dont then we should just simply prepare for the play offs now. So as difficult as Friday will be I am going to assume that if we beat Millwall that will lead to two more wins. If we do that and at the same time assume that Cardiff win both homes games, which I am certain they will, the equation is this. Cardiff have two tricky away games and to get promoted they are going to have to win one of them. That does not sound clear cut. That is pressure.
As I say there are a couple of conditions in that equation, the most tenuous being our game at Millwall but IF we can do our job it still makes it difficult for Cardiff to finish second. They will still have a lot of work to do and with little room for error.
So as much as we are second favourites, it aint over yet!!

Just keep him well away from Spurs... they will have our pants down. Nice we are sitting on a fortune, though, as long as it is reinvested.
Strange position we are in. Do I want success. Of Course I do. Have loved this season (and last) . But I'm not overly bothered about the prem. I've loved the championship. Look forward to fulham games again. My major concern is not failure to get promo to prem. It's losing Ryan. Tom . And even more so Slavisa. Funny predicament. -- M, Sunday, April 15, 09:18:10am(b0fe2631.bb.sky.com/184.108.40.206)

SJ -- Robespierre, Sunday, April 15, 11:08:42am(97e3ce36.skybroadband.com/220.127.116.11)
Personally think he’ll still be here next season if we stay down, hopefully backed with a considerable war chest from player sales (which I think would be inevitable). The fact that he now appears to have full control of recruitment is critical.
We may still be able to call on the services of RS given his age and Cairney and Fredericks are replaceable. The recall of Mitrovic will be a real loss, but
I would trust SJ to come up with a suitable replacement given he’d be leading the process.
On the other hand, there’s still all to play for in terms of promotion and in fundamental terms at least, the club is heading in the right direction on and off the field (at last).
Would you put money on Cardiff winning 3 from their remaining 4 games ??? -- Mickey, Sunday, April 15, 12:56:38pm(NoHost/18.104.22.168)
That’s what it’ll take if we do what is necessary . I firmly believe that 3 points at Millwall this Friday will lead to a further 6 in our remaining 2 games . At some point during their final games Cardiff Will drop 2 points ( or more ). ‘I am not one for crying or complaints ‘ (Joka). Neither should we be .....
Keeper distribution. -- Senor Cohen, Sunday, April 15, 10:19:34am(NoHost/22.214.171.124)
Amongst many possible comtributing factors for the draw yesterday I am thinking Betts was just too ponderous and his kicking generally poor. Their keeper on the other hand was so much quicker in thought and action. He used a full range of distribution methods and was largely accurate. He looked confident.
Betts made a couple of crucial saves but his contribution to our attacking play could be a lot better.
What next -- View from the Riverside, Sunday, April 15, 12:17:09pm(NoHost/126.96.36.199)
Was unable to make it yesterday due to family commitments. My feeling was that we would end with a draw as the combination of fatigue and the local politics of the game would dictate that result. I also felt Brentford at home would be the hardest game in the run in. Disappointed none the less, especially in the manner of the late goal. But we are still unbeaten in over 20 games. We should finish on 91 points
I think we will now win the remaining three games if we can carefully manage the core team we have. Light training till the Millwall game etc. I think we are better suited to be playing Millwall away as they will have to come at us which means we should score a few.
I also thought Norwich would draw with Cardiff so was disappointed with that result. I think Cardiff will beat Forest, although a draw could be an outside shout, Derby are imploding and need every point to stay in the playoffs (how ironic if Cardiff lose here). Hull will be a tough game and I can see that as a draw. Reading have nothing to play for. If Cardiff somehow contrive to draw 2 or lose 2 of their remaining 4 games, GD will see us home but those are long odds.
Likely play offs as the form team. But that is a lottery. I don't even want to discuss the next season beyond saying have renewed the season tickets.
Had the game at Norwich finished 4 mins early and ours finished 1 min earlier, we'd be sitting 3 points clear of them with better goal difference. 5 sodding minutes.
No way this is over yet. My biggest fear is that yesterday may have felt like a loss. My biggest hope is that this acts as a kick up the 'arris for the lads.
We have to beat Millwall on Friday, that is almost certainly true. They will beat Forest. Then they have Derby and Hull away. For me it comes down to our result v Millwall and theirs against Derby. If we win ours, and they lose, and if all other games go as predicted, they could be heading up to Hull 2 points behind having used up their game in hand. That will be pressure. Derby are on a terrible run of form and lost at Burton yesterday. Hopefully falling out of the top 6 might wake them up a bit. Hull will be safe by the time they play them. Hopefully they will not have their heads on the beach.
Cardiff now clear favourites, but Cardiff not winning at Derby and us beating Millwall - those 2 results would hardly be the shock of the season - and then it is on again.
Their two players yesterday - Woods and Watkins - what a couple of players they are. Especially Woods - some lovely through balls on top of the rest of his game, which didn't seem to lack much.
This sums it up for me 😩 -- POPW, Sunday, April 15, 10:06:53am(5ad5aec6.bb.sky.com/188.8.131.52)
Brentford score in the 94th minute,
To make up the additional time 30 seconds is added for each substitution,
So an extra minute was added for the introduction of Christie and Norwood , the minute that Brentford scored in !
Promotion is all about fine margins.
2 nil up against QPHa at Home 1 Nil up against Bentford in the 94th minute, those recently dropped 4 points are going to cost our club £100 million, ponder that for a moment this fine Sunday morning.
Player on his own -- Oled, Sunday, April 15, 10:31:55am(bn-proxy2a.ealing.ukcore.bt.net/184.108.40.206)
With 2 right backs on you wouldn't expect a free header for the guy at the far post. Anyone know where Christie was? Freddy clearly just switched off (maybe knackered) but Christie had just come on. Shame but we have scored loads ourselves in the last few minutes.

In the cool light of day I believe a draw was a fair result.
However watching the match from the Riverside stand I thought the standard of refereeing was poor to say the least. However if anybody watched the match on TV was any mention made of the refs performance?
It comes as no suprise that no UK refs are participating at the world cup as a resu.t of the standards I have witnessed over the season.
It's not all over!? -- Bill, Sunday, April 15, 09:20:31am(cpc73664-dals20-2-0-cust983.20-2.cable.virginm.net/18.104.22.168)
After an evening of despondency, I awoke to take stock of last night’s disappointing results.
Throughout this run-in, I’ve been fixated by the historical fact that no team that has gained 90 points has failed to gain automatic promotion from The Championship.
On the positive side, we can still check out with 91 points. On the negative side it seems unlikely that Cardiff will not reach the 90 points.
One thing is clear, WE HAVE TO WIN AT MILLWALL. Then see what Cardiff do at home to Forest & away to Derby. Then if they get 6 it’s game over. 4 or less the game is still on. If the latter, the question becomes do we gear up for the play-offs or keep going full-tilt? Given that we are playing Sunderland (who are down) and Birmingham (who should be safe), I think we can rotate the squad and still keep the pressure on.
My best-case prediction involves Cardiff & ourselves ending up with 91 points and the matter being decided on GD. If this is right The Golden 90 Point Rule will have been breached. However, the pessimists among us can take sanctity in the likelihood that The Golden Rule will continue to rule, as we will slip up somewhere!

Still feels like a loss .... -- Cotesetlan, Sunday, April 15, 09:04:59am(0545a718.skybroadband.com/188.8.131.52)
Thought we were beyond conceding in the last minute of injury time - however, take the point that Brentford were well worthy of a point with Ryan Woods the stand out player.
Also agree that we are looking a bit leg weary & not so effective. One huge push on Friday could change things, as being where we are means we need to go all out for 2nd place & hope that Cardiff slip up.
If not, there'll have to be plenty of girding loins for the play-offs - an entirely separate scenario from the League itself.
All still to play for.

Sigh. I am used to these lousy last kick of the game important goals but it hurt a little bit more in the context of the situation and the opposition. I saw the usual retreat by Fulham to protect the lead, a technique that has been quite successful recently. I really thought that Brentford had run out of ideas to get an equaliser, how wrong I was.
I am still immensely proud of this teams performance, we were not at our best today but still could have won it had we capitalised on our 2nd half spell where I thought we could have put the game to bed.
Fair play to Brentford, overall looking at the 90 mins, a draw was a fair result. They caused us problems, especially 1st half. They seemed to hit passes and freekicks early and long, catching us out. However, we still had a few players who had great games, especially Sess and Johansen who ran himself into the ground, Odoi, McDonald and Ream also stood out.
I think if we don't win against Millwall, we have to get used to the idea of the playoffs.
Can we make Wembley it is a big ask considering we have only been there once in our history. I would love to go win or lose to have some memories with me dad. Bucket list moments -- Walking sticks where are you(attack), Saturday, April 14, 10:22:47pm(NoHost/22.214.171.124)

Looking leggy for a while fair play to Brentford today like QPR they ran the extra yards today didn’t see that at home to Cardiff the other week.The Wall Friday could be similar if a reverse there may it be time to take stock rest some up for the play offs.Derby county match for Colin maybe not so testing now has DC are imploding once more.What happened to Kebano?
If you think you are beaten, you are;
If you think you dare not, you don't;
If you'd like to win, but think you can't,
It's almost a cinch you won't.
If you think you'll lose, you're lost,
For out in the word we find
Success begins with a fellow's will,
It's all in the state of mind.
If you think you're outcasted, you are;
You've got to think high to rise.
You've got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.
Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or faster man;
But soon or late the man who wins
Is the man who thinks he can.
They have the easiest run in (Brentford) Can see them winning their final 3 games.Will it be enough? Oddly should we beat Millwall we may be letting in Brentford.Who would we rather have in the play-offs? Genuinely unsure -- alanos, Saturday, April 14, 08:23:18pm(02de1db8.bb.sky.com/188.8.131.52)

Looked sluggish. -- Alboy, Saturday, April 14, 07:35:26pm(NoHost/184.108.40.206)
We looked sluggish today and Cardiff winning must have deflated the team.We just have to keep on going and see what happens. Twenty one games unbeaten but we missed an opportunity today players looked tired. Brentford deserved there point but we should have done better. Cannot complain about the effort. On to the next game.
