Subject: Muniz -- could he ever again?

Leeds and Atlanta wanted to pay good money on the strength of his previous two seasons, when he scored 9 prem goals (1 per 178 mins played), and then last season 8, at an even better rate, 1 per 119 mins.

FFC and those fans who saw value and promise, were hoping for a third season from him to cement his potential to be first-choice centre-forward post-Raul. And of course that hasn't happened, but the reverse. Some are saying that was destined and that (in effect) Leeds, Atlanta and FFC were all barmy to dream otherwise.

Being among the barmy, I just looked beyond the statistics to refresh memory of at his 17 prem goals for those two seasons (plus a few cup ones) in the brief videos at.

The *variety* of ways those goals were scored would have been noticed by the clubs that bid. And half of them were seriously good. A personal favourite was when he nipped in out of nowhere to score at home to Villa. The player at home to Villa recently could never have done that. Yet he did. Could he ever again?
