      - I would advise getting onto the ferry 'a fair bit earlier' than the scheduled departure time as they tend to leave when it suits the crew rather than what is posted on the schedule. Don't get too excited about the tv lounge as it seats about 10 people (on the left hand side of the ferry). Some of the locals are somewhat religious. - It will be interesting to see what happens now. My understanding is that the terms of his contract may make him difficult for the hoops to offload. He can appeal the ban, but the number of games banned might go up if he does. So do QPR keep him in the squad? Do they keep him on the pay roll, but take him out of their squad so they can bring in a player who can play more than 75% of the seasons games? What happens if he goes to a club overseas? Was interested in the debate further down the page so it got me thinking who in the past have finished 5th to 8th in all our Premiership seasons

Not much can be read it to these stats but in caps are the teams that have disappeared from the Premiership (and some have returned), some are top four wannabees (Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool) and then the teams we are grouped into in recent history, ie Villa & Everton. I think that Villa, Everton position is our glass ceiling, not that we shouldn't try to push on but can't see it happening. Also, look at Bolton and Blackburn who regularly finished in mid to upper positions.

Like others, I am tempted to expect Fulham to maintain their mid/upper league position but looking at that list, must try to remain grounded and look first for that magical 40 points every season and survival and then see what develops.

- Make post longer. Its noticeable though that not one of the clubs around our size did it two seasons running (Newcastle are actually a much bigger club anyway), indeed many have since been relegated. Im content with anything above 15th and happy with anything top half.
