  • The "Big Two" in Scotland have realized what we have all known for years. The SPL is a Mickey Mouse league and they can no longer afford to fund their supremacy due to everyones elses lack of desire and reason to invest in such a joke. Thats why they wanted to join the Pemiership gravy train and take the place of clubs like ours.   I trust, at this precise moment in time, that Mr Fenty is in his office tapping away on the Easyjet web site booking you all one-way flights to Zurich, complete with an overnight stay with our cheese eating friends at Dignitas. Don’t bother packing your toothbrush – you won’t need it.
  
  In the event that our beloved chairman can’t afford the expense (understandable given that he’s soon going to have to assemble a new squad from scratch), then I am prepared to sell my family (including my unborn child) to a dubious consortium of Middle Eastern businessmen in order to pay for the flights. Christ, I’ll drive you there myself, one-by one, without sleep, if I have to.
  
  Failing that, understanding that most dubious Middle Eastern businessmen are tied-up purchasing Premier League football clubs, I ask you to please take matters into your hands.   Genuine question and not a wind-up and I yes, understand that not everyone can afford a full Season Ticket but bearing in mind the price and financial packages available I fail to see why every regular to Fulham is not a season ticket holder.
  
  For example, Hammersmith End prices per game
  
  Five Grade A+ games at £49 each = £245
  Three Grade A games at £40 each - £120
  Seven Grade B games at £35 each = £245
  Four Grade C games at £30 each = £90
  
  Total spend is £700 for a season ticket that would have cost £450!!
  
  You also get deals on other tickets that are not open to members.
  
  I have missed, Arsenal, That Lot & Everton this season and would still be quids in with my season ticket.
  
  I understand where membership works and in my opinion that is for those that will only get to see a few games a year (five or six). Why not share a Season Ticket or even use the finance deal as that is still cheaper?

  • Taht run of games when we played midweek was great otherwise I 'd just have plnked myself in front of the television. Hadn't really looked at the individual prices as am lucky enough to afford a season ticket. Met a guy at the Leicester cup game away who had a half season ticket and delierately chose to ginore big 4 games ion the basis that we would probably use so going to more winnable games was his enjoyment.   • I dont have a season ticket any more because it is just not practical for my circumstances - I live 450 miles from Fulham and have done for the last six years. I had a season ticket the first year back at the Cottage - more to show my support for the move - but did not use it for about a third of the games. Back then, I was working in Scotland full time and so midweek games were difficult. My job now means I am split between London and Scotland, and I am often in London midweek for games but weekends are more difficult. So there's no point me getting a season ticket. Which means I wont get tickets for every game, but that's how it goes. It hasnt affected me this season so far - and i tend to go to more away than home games in any case.   • There's lots of reasons why you wouldn't have an ST, but still support your team. Mine is that I have an 8yo who doesn't often want to go (for fear of seeing them lose, I told him that's part of his education as a Fulham supporter - he'll thank me when he's older!) but when I go with him we sit near his grandparents who are both ST holders in the JH stand, and when I don't I sit next to my mate who's in the Hammersmtih end but is also a ST holder. I also get to use another relative's ticket as she doesn't go to evening games, plus I always have to miss 2-3 games a season due to overseas work travel, so it's not worth me getting one.   I am disappointed that the selfishness of season ticket holders buying multiple tickets for Man Utd fans, some of whom have admitted it on this board, has contributed to the game selling out before Members got a chance.

  • It's dead easy for a Man United fan to get a membership. It's a tough call for the club - allocate priority to season ticket holders (who are at least more accountable in that their own seats can be taken away) or to members (I remember working with Man United fans in Kent who'd proudly show off their Crazy Gang membership cards enabling them to get tickets at Selhurst each year). I suspect that, while some definitely exist, there are a lot less touts with season tickets than with memberships. To me that’s quite clear but that is the extent of the club’s interest in the matter as far as I can see. But as well as being a threat to public order (whether or not you think it right, people WILL react to outsiders in home areas), having large numbers of away fans in our end makes our home support look two bob – as was the case when we scored against Liverpool and a lot of the first few rows of the Hammy End didn’t celebrate.   Celtic and Rangers will have to stay in the SPL
  
  The Premier League has rejected a plan to bring Celtic and Rangers into English football's top flight.
  
  The Old Firm pair had hoped to be part of new plans put forward by Bolton chairman Phil Gartside for a two-tier league of between 36 and 40 teams.
  
  It was thought that there would be a top tier of 18 clubs, with promotion and relegation to and from the league.

  THE FA are poised to offer Roy Hodgson the job of coaching the Great Britain football team at the 2012 Olympics.
  Experienced Fulham manager Hodgson, who is currently locked in contract talks at Craven Cottage, is the man Olympic chiefs want to coach their fledgling team at the Games in three years.
  The Daily Express understands informal approaches have been made to representatives of Hodgson, 61. His stock has never been higher after leading Fulham to seventh place in the Premier League last season on a minuscule budget and taking them into the Europa League, where they are well placed to qualify for the last 32.
  FA chairman Lord Triesman has identified Hodgson – the former Inter Milan, Udinese, Blackburn and Switzerland manager – as the ideal candidate to mould an Under-23 team made up of solely English players due to the Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish choosing not to participate.
  Triesman, who is helping put together the football set-up for the Games, has said he wants the coach of the new team to be named before Christmas in order for him to begin work towards putting together the squad in the new year.
  Sir Alex Ferguson turned down the prospect but Aston Villa boss Martin O’Neill is also believed to be a candidate, along with current England Under-21 coach Stuart Pearce.
  The post would offer the new man the chance to work with players like Arsenal’s Theo Walcott, Middlesbrough’s Adam Johnson and Chelsea’s Daniel Sturridge.
