Corum watched as the rest of the group slowly filtered into the kitchen. He wasn’t about to try and explain everything since he didn’t have all the details. He was glad, however, when Marz piped up, and started to empty his guts out about Tegol, some of his places, and where to find them. Somehow, he realized that eventually Marz would want to get a piece of Tegol, and the only way that was going to become a possibility, was for them to return to Bizmar. How, or when that was going to happen was anyone’s guess, but for the time being, he would have to do what they had set out to find, the magical item for Queen Kazabet, and the specialty item for Sheikh Daraba.

Barry suddenly floated next to him, and for once appeared to be a bit worried. "So, Chief... it's gonna be okay, right?" was all that Barry had to say. Corum turned to his companion. “Only in time, Barry,” Corum stated. “Only in time. But when we do go about getting the revenge we want, I’ll make sure you’re included. It’s about time these perverts found out just who the hell they were messing with.”

Corum knew it would be a great undertaking, probably one that already had started by those at the tavern, but he wanted to help. He remembered Rooster, and how the youth kept proclaiming how he was going to become a great fighter. No one had to hurt a little kid, no one. It just wasn’t right. “Yeah, Barry,” Corum finished. “It’s gonna be okay, but it’ll take some time…..some time.”

Now, Snoopy had sworn that he'd get that man, so he asked the Great Pumpkin for a new battle plan. He challenged the German to a real dogfight, while the Baron was laughing; he got him in his sight. That Bloody Red Baron was in a fix. He'd tried everything, but he'd run out of tricks. Snoopy fired once, and he fired twice, and that Bloody Red Baron went spinning out of sight.

Erlic simply stood where he was, uncaring about what anyone thought of his current condition, and impassiveness etched across his face. He had fought, and killed in cold blood, but his hunger hadn’t been sated, only temporarily. Since the others had finally gathered together, he was about to explain the reasoning behind Ravin’s depression, as well as that of the others, but Marz his student quickly intervened.

Normally Erlic would have taken to writing this information down, but since his knowledge of Bizmar’s places was fairly good, and because he had the opportunity of dealing with Tegol directly, he filed the information in his brain. Yes, Dalo would immediately know of this information. The sooner someone at the tavern, regardless of their condition, started the hunt for Tegol, the sooner the end to Tegol’s reign within Bizmar. Of course the guild master realized that someone else would take his place, but that would take some time. For the moment, Tegol would be hunted, and whatever men he had working for him, would also be hunted, until they were taken out one by one.

The guild master realized there were good people at the tavern that would take this undertaking to new levels of awareness. Yes, it would take time, and a lot of it, but during this hunt, Tegol would find out that someone, was slowly whittling down his task force, and that would enrage the crime lord. Erlic found this thought quite enlightening.

The guild master quickly left the kitchen, so that he could give Dalo the news. As he walked passed the doorway, he merely glanced at Laurel, and Jade briefly, his eyes showing a coldness, and indifference void of any feeling whatsoever. Once he was in the middle of the tower, he obtained the mirror, and after a moment, the figure of the beast master appeared in the frame of the mirror. Erlic immediately started to give his colleague the necessary information that Marz had revealed. Erlic realized that Dalo needed some assistance so he waited as the beast master got someone with ink and quill to make sure he didn’t forget anything. After that portion of business had been transacted, Dalo explained to him the nature of the losses that the tavern had suffered.

It was unnecessary to inquire of any further news, for Dalo had also informed Erlic of how the mercs tried to subdue him rather than simply kill him, especially when they had all the opportunity afforded to them. Tegol had somehow managed to extract this information from Eremis, and it was now apparent to him that the identities of Ravin, Dalo, Marz, and himself were now no secret.

The news that Dalo had revealed to him was somewhat shocking. The need for innocent people dying was totally inexcusable, and unnecessary. “Dalo,” Erlic stated. “Whatever you do, be extremely careful, and make sure you have a good amount of back-up.” Dalo nodded his understanding before ending the communication.

Although the beast master was considered a good man, his face was now known among those working under Tegol’s command, and he was sure that they would stop at nothing in trying to get at the beast master. Erlic could only hope that the others at the tavern were willing to give their all to help out.

He was about to return to the kitchen, when he found a room he had missed earlier. Looking in, he spotted a basin with water, and quickly washed the blood off of his face. He didn’t need the appearance of blood on his face as a reminder of the bloodshed at the tavern, it was engraved in his soul.

He made his way back to the kitchen, and when he had everyone’s attention began to speak. “For those of us who were familiar with the tavern, these are the injuries,” Erlic stated with a voice that was flat, and unchanging. “Rooster, and Marna, Mave’s twin sister were killed. Nicklar was rendered unconscious after a severe stabbing. Josh nearly had his hand severed. All those that were capable of fighting suffered innumerable injuries, and basically made it out alive, but only after the devastating carnage that was left at the tavern. Around twenty-five innocent people, those being the tavern patrons lost their lives because of Tegol’s whim, and arrogance. For four of us,” he paused as he directed his gaze to Marz, Corum, and Ravin, “this is going to be very, very personal, and we most likely will not stop until we have….destroyed the man.” It was pointless to use the word kill, especially since Ravin wasn’t that way. Yes, the younger thief tried to avoid killing at any cost, and only killed when his own life was in danger. Erlic realized that Tegol’s death would not come from Ravin’s hand, but most likely from either his own, or that of Marz.

Although he had alerted the others before, he felt it necessary to emphasize the danger involved. “As I have mentioned earlier,” Erlic continued. “There is still the threat on the lives of Marz, Ravin, and myself. Chances are good that Tegol will somehow manage to send representatives to Queen Kazabet’s castle in order to have us either captured or killed. So I warn you again about thinking of returning to Kazabet’s place, for if you return with us, you’ll be considered co-conspirators, and most likely will be attacked.”

There was no sense in added bloodshed especially to those that traveled with him. They had nothing to do with Tegol, let alone know who the man was. It was because of his own intervention, as well as that of Marz, and Ravin, that they now became entangled in.

“I suggest you think, and choose carefully. This is really not your battle.” Erlic stated as he finished.
