Barry looked forlornly at Tia, his eye sporting a deep gouge from the vulture's talon, but otherwise apparently unharmed. Unfortunately something seemed to be oozing from his eye and down his cheekbone.

"Your eye looks awfully bloodshot," she said. "Does it hurt? Would it help if I held a cool rag over it for a while?"

"Ehh... I appreciate it... really.. but I got no eyelids. You'd be like... rubbing my EYE with that rag!" he seemed to twitch in the air as he said this. Then added, "It'll be good as new soon. Gonna hurt like the Mazes for a while, though."

Just then Valhorek walked up to them. The healer insisted on washing and applying herbs to his eye. "OWWW OWWW! That feels about as good as that vulture's claw did!" Barry made a big production of it. Oh sure, it really did hurt, but he felt compelled to milk it for everything it was worth, what with this dame standing right here.

When Valhorek was done, Barry looked at Tia pathetically, his bulgy eye all red. "Hold me..." he whimpered as he floated over to nestle against her chest.

Isobel landed the roc near the others, looking in disgust at the vultures feeding on their dead brothers. She protested as Erlic lifted her off their undead mount. "Ay! Frio, I am perfectly capable of moving myself! I am not yet an invalid!" As he set her on her feet she sheathed her sword and Muerte, grimacing only once. She looked evenly at Erlic. "I am not some delicate flower who needs tending. I do not expect different treatment from that of your other men." She seemed to emphasize the word men. Then her expression softened a bit. "However, I do appreciate your concern." And she gave him a tight smile that belied her words.

Valhorek approached them and began to tend her wound. "It is barely a scratch," she told him. She didn't even flinch as he stitched up her wound, though she looked slightly discomfitted as he psychically healed her wounds. She had always been disturbed by the feeling of inner parts of her body moving seemingly on their own, and healing so rapidly. It was not natural, but many things in this land were not natural. She glanced at the undead mounts as she thought of this.

She moved her arm around experimentally but found it produced a rather sharp pain and decided it would probably be a good idea to rest that arm for a while. She hissed in disgust. She did not like to be weak!

Then she looked around and saw that many of the others were in clearly worse shape than herself, and Tristan looked as though he would lose consciousness any moment. She turned to Erlic.

"Well. We are certainly off to an exciting start, Frio."
