Ok , I talked to ipn last week and I have called and faxed a letter to dr seely requesting to not do IOP, per IPN request. I still have not heard from dr seely. So I called IPN and wrote them a letter, discussing my choices. They said I can get another eval from another doctor(I already paid $600 for dr seely) Or I can do IOP,then get a contract.

I told IPN that would mean no work for 3 more months. They said IOP should is usually only 6 weeks and maybe I wouldn't need that long before I can work. I don't understand. The IOP in my area is called SWFAS and it is 3 months. (costing approx $1,000) Are there 6 week programs?

I already did an inpatient 30 days rehab ( $16,000) and 3 month IOP ($4,000) in California in 2006 and 2007, did both aftercares and have been seeing an addictionologist with drug testing for past 6 years.

When I asked what dr seely recommended, he said (at least 2 years, and I am in complete recovery from my drug use, I was just lacking aa, support groups and have hx of rarely drinking and since this program is a complete abstinence program, I needed additional IOP)

IPN was recommeding a 5 year contract based on my diagnosis. I told IPN that was unreasonable and needed to be reviewed. IPN said that maybe IOP could evaluate me if they thought I only needed 2 years they could review my case.

My question to every one is, should I pay for another evaluation ($500-$600)
then get the 6 hour education class( I heard they cost around$600)
Then IPN said they would monitor me for a while before contract(i.e. drug testing)

or just do IOP ($1,000) hope they can give me good reviews and help my case with IPN
IPN told me on the phone that maybe IOP could release me early ( I don't understand how they can do that)

I have a week to decide. Another question, while in IOP do I drug test with IPN or just with IOP? Has anybody done SWFAS in SW florida?

The other IOP's offered are too far

Please help!!
