One word of caution though ... its never smart to leave a baby alone in a room with a child that is big enough to lift it. That will always spell danger. I hope you learned from that one.

As to the rest ... normal, normal, normal. Those feelings of wanting to kill the kid? ... normal, normal, normal.

My advice for the tantrums? Leave the store. And if you *have* to stay don't EVER give in with the toys or candy or he'll expect it every time. BTW, you used the word "expect" in your post ... by having that expectation, it leads me to believe he'd gotten candy and toys before. If so, STOP now! lol

Also, make sure your eldest gets special one-on-one mommy time. And, make sure he gets plenty of "play with the baby time" too.
