Ah yes, I remember it well. Cassandra "helping" Sabrina whenever I stepped out of the room (ala the walk across the marble hearth). I didn't have a marble hearth, so she'd "help" push her in the baby swing. HARD. Or "hug" her until Sabrina's eyes buldged.

What's the most common first word of a second-born child?

"Ouch!"

Having a second child isn't the just double the work of one. HA! That'd be easy. It's the whole change of the family dynamic thing. It's watching the first born you adored turn into, at times, someone you CAN'T STAND.

I don't think you asked me this, but other friends expecting their second baby have: "How can I possible love the next baby as much as love the first?" I tell them, "Boy, are you worrying about nothing. Trust me!"

This is why people that have more than one child see a VAST difference in parenting only children as opposed to those that have multiple kids.

My advice? Watch Harrision like a hawk, be consistant (as usual) and use that wonderful sense of humor you've got at every opportunity. Do yourself a favor and rent, no BUY "Bill Cosby, Himself." I don't care if you've seen it a thousand times, you'll "get" the spiel about having kids (plural) in ways you never did before.

Btw, I tried calling you yesterday but I got a fax machine. I don't know if I even have the right number. I am sooooooo disorganized and Newman keeps putting things away where I can't find them! I am home today -- day off and Sabrina's allergies are acting up. If you're around, drop me a e-mail on my Yahoo or gimme a ring -- whatever. We've got LOTS of catching up to do!
