Most of the content of the prequels and legends of Dune books, was extrapolated from Frank's notes...what do you think of that?
Also, every divergence from what we believed, for example the Baron's "disease", or Leto's first wife and son, totally make sense and jibe with the characters that originally appeared in Dune.
Also, in terms of where the Dune saga is going, you HAVE to account for these new books. Because it is the authors of these books, not Frank Herbert, who will write Dune 7 (though as I have said, I am sure they will do so in complete accordance and respect for Frank's notes and outlines).
Ways change, regardless of whether you accept the change or deny it.
